Frequently Asked Questions
What plumbing connection does the Lorton rain shower head use?
The Lorton rain shower head uses a standard 1/2-inch NPT connection designed to work with compatible U.S. shower plumbing. Before installation, confirm that your ceiling water connection uses the correct size and thread type, especially if you are replacing an existing shower system or converting from a wall-mounted setup.
Is the Lorton rain shower head ceiling-mounted, and how is it installed?
Yes. The Lorton is designed for overhead ceiling-mounted installation and includes a matching ceiling arm and cover plate. If your bathroom already has a compatible ceiling water connection, the ceiling arm connects directly to the threaded water supply. If you are converting from a wall-mounted shower or modifying plumbing above the ceiling, professional installation is recommended.
What are the actual dimensions of the Lorton 12-inch rain shower head?
The Lorton is sold as a 12-inch rain shower head and measures approximately 11.8 x 11.8 inches. Its large square spray face provides broad overhead coverage while maintaining a clean, streamlined appearance in the shower.
What kind of coverage does the 12-inch Lorton rain shower head provide?
The 11.8 x 11.8-inch square spray face is designed to distribute water across a broad overhead area for a gentle, rainfall-style shower experience. Its large surface provides more body coverage than a smaller conventional shower head. Actual water flow and spray strength may vary depending on your home's water pressure and plumbing conditions.
Is the Lorton rain shower head made of stainless steel?
Yes. The Lorton rain shower head is constructed from durable stainless steel rather than plastic and finished in brushed nickel. The metal construction is designed for long-term strength and corrosion resistance in a wet bathroom environment, while the brushed nickel finish gives the shower a warm, modern appearance.
How do I clean the silicone nozzles, especially with hard water?
The flexible silicone nozzles are designed to make mineral buildup easier to remove. If your home has hard water, gently wipe or rub the nozzle tips periodically to help loosen limescale and keep the spray openings clear. Regular cleaning helps maintain a more even spray pattern and consistent water flow without requiring abrasive cleaning tools.
What is included with the Lorton rain shower head?
The package includes one 11.8-inch brushed nickel rain shower head, one matching ceiling arm, and one cover plate. The coordinated ceiling arm and cover plate are included with the shower head, so these matching components do not need to be purchased separately.
